George Conway attacks Trump' as 'most unfit and incompetent president' in US history
Source: The Hill
Frequent Trump critic George Conway fixed President Trumps tweet attacking Democrats on Wednesday morning, calling Trump the most unfit and incompetent president in American history.
Conway, whose critiques of Trump have made him a social media star given his marriage to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, tweaked the language on the presidents tweet predicting that his approval numbers in polls would be 65 percent if not for the illegal witch hunt Russia investigation.
.@realDonaldTrumpfixed this for you, Conway wrote. Without your bizarre, improper, impeachable, and ILLEGAL behavior in response to the perfectly justified investigation you like to call a Witch Hunt, and without your deranged behavior in numerous other respects, your poll numbers, especially because of the great, full-employment economy that you inherited and then goosed up with massive deficit spending, would be much higher than they are.
Too bad! The most unfit and incompetent president in American history, Conway concluded.

(7,432 posts)He's an opinion-maker. He doesn't really advance any cause or agenda. He's just out there, blabbing away. So he's got a name for himself. He doesn't denounce the GOP for their cowardly subservience to the man he calls "the most incompetent" president. He leaves them alone, even though without them, Trumpy would be eaten alive by his own history. No, Conway gives all of them a pass. This is the problem with Conway. He indirectly gives the GOP an acquittal while eviscerating Trumpy. He's wrong, but perhaps deceptively strategic. He wants to exonerate the GOP, so he dumps on Trumpy and sets up a pretext for some separation between the two political forces. But there is really only one force: Trumpy and his fear tactics, with all of the GOP marching along in tow. He really can't accomplish his apparent goal because there is no separation between the GOP and Trumpy. They bought in and they'll sink with the Orange Baby.

(10,204 posts)the GOP establishment will all be proclaiming they knew all along Trump was an incompetent, lying, racist so and so. Mitt Romney will be viewed as the party's courageous, truthtelling hero because he spoke out against him a couple of times. A teary-eyed Lindsey Graham will sob on FOX and Friends, claiming he was the first to call Trump a "kook" and a "nut," and "unfit for office." And when Marco Rubio debates Paul Ryan during the next Republican presidential primary, both will remind voters how much they hated the treasonous, short-fingered vulgarian.

(4,007 posts)exactly what you said! Oh, no we knew all along...is b.s.
Just ending up a WWII book where unknowingly, captured German officers were taped by a special British unit while confined to a remote mansion. In those tapes they admitted knowing full well of the Holacaust, special 'cleansing' of Russian, Poland and other countries soldiers, civilians and more. Most were tried at the Nuremberg trials and later executed by hanging.
The parallel here is the denial by elected Republiscums of Trump's total lawlessness and their future futile claim they 'didn't know'. Another total b.s. denial, one we cannot let them get away with after he's gone. We need to ensure every one of those Republiscums is punished for their intransigence, lies, denials and more. Hanging may be too good for them yet we can make their lives hell and their legacies shameful as it should be.

(4,341 posts)We think the buffoon and the republicans are incompetent, and to me that is a big mistake. We think they are incompetent because they lack the ability, or the mindset to legislate in favour of the country, in favour of its citizens, but they don't because that is not what they are about, they seek power because they love power and because they understand that from a position of power they can benefit themselves regardless of how much they screw the country and its citizens.
As we have witnessed these past two years, they have not been incompetent, they pretty much have gotten away with everything they set out to do, their agenda is being worked on almost to perfection. The buffoon has practically eliminated, or handcuffed departments that represent a threat to him, he has placed people like Betsy Devos on jobs to work on the long term agenda which is to eliminate public education for them to profit from all the money that we, the tax payers, pay for education that will be routed to Charter Schools which have two main purposes, one is to put money in their pockets, the other one is to indoctrinate the kids that attend these schools, and Betsy is doing a great job, no incompetence.
If Democrats do not move fast, we will all find out that what we thought was incompetence is nothing but pure evil, they know what they are doing, and in my view, so far they are doing a great job. That we don't like what we see? I agree, but incompetence is not, and there is a danger to think it is, it leaves our guards down thinking that they will falter any time now. My question is, have they falter at all in the past two years? I don't think so.
