felt it at my place. Rattled for a few seconds..heavy roller...but not enough to knock stuff over here in the city.

Colma is the town next SF That has more dead people residing there than living. Most of the town are different graveyards.
It was a weird shake and kind of intense. A board came off in my closet and turned on the light.

(41,831 posts)Its news to people, and as much as people (from other states) believe that there is always a big earthquake here each week, it doesn't happen all that often. (Micro quakes yes..we sit on many fault lines here but they are rarely large occurrences) Those micro quakes are never reported however the ones that everyone feels within a large area are reported..and affect a large area (note the epicenter was difficult to pin down ..it took a little bit of time for the USGS to pin down the exact location.)

(41,831 posts)I was here, I felt it, so did the local TV stations here and Earthquakes are national news. Again, if you firmly believe it doesn't belong here than let a jury decide. If you don't I am sure someone will.

(26,293 posts)importance not small regional ones like a tiny quake hitting somewhere that sees a ton of other similar quakes all year round.
