READ: White House letter to Pelosi rejecting cooperation in impeachment inquiry
Source: The Hill
The White House on Tuesday sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other top Democrats saying it would not cooperate with their impeachment inquiry into President Trump over his dealings with Ukraine.
Accusing Pelosi and her colleagues of "seeking to overturn the results of the 2016 election," White House counsel Pat Cipollone in his letter said Trump and members of his administration "cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances," but stopped short of calling for the House to hold a vote on impeachment.
Read the letter from Cipollone here.

MSNBC is discussing. I don't like The Hill but other sources have this jumbled in with their other running "summaries" of the happenings today.

Before this letter the Repugnants like Mitch could have maybe justified opposing the investigation and could have done so with a straight face but now he just said they themselves do not have the right to investigate actions by the President.

This letter is manifestly wrong, and is simply another unlawful attempt to hide the facts of the Trump Administrations brazen efforts to pressure foreign powers to intervene in the 2020 elections. Despite the White Houses stonewalling, we see a growing body of evidence that shows that President Trump abused his office and violated his oath to protect, preserve and defend the Constitution.
The White House should be warned that continued efforts to hide the truth of the Presidents abuse of power from the American people will be regarded as further evidence of obstruction.
Mr. President, you are not above the law. You will be held accountable.
