Boy Missing For More Than Two Years Found In The Closet Of A Child Pornography Suspect

Source: CNN

(CNN) -- A teenager who has been missing for two and half years has been found alive in a closet of a child pornography suspect in west Germany, police said. The 15-year old boy was found on Friday during a police search in Recklinghausen, in the German state on North Rhine-Westphalia.

Police were searching a home of a 44-year old man suspected of distributing child pornography, when they stumbled on the boy. "The officers discovered a boy in the closet. An investigation showed this was a 15-year old boy who has been missing for a long time," the Recklinghausen police said in a statement.

A spokesman for the police told CNN the boy had been missing for two and half years. According to the police, there was no indication that the boy was held in the apartment against his will. The boy remains under police protection and has not been identified for legal reasons. The police spokesperson said the 44-year old man and another older man who was also in the apartment at the time were arrested.

On Saturday, a judge granted a request from the public prosecutor's office and issued an arrest warrant for a serious sexual offense against the younger of the two men, the police said in another statement. The older man was released from custody. During the search, a police sniffer dog trained to detect electronic devices found a number of data storage units in the apartment. The equipment is now being investigated, the police said. -End.

-* GERMANY: THE BROTHEL OF EUROPE: In Germany, sexual exploitation is much more widespread. "Germany is the brothel of Europe," said Roller. According to the BKA, there were 327 cases of forced prostitution and 500 documented victims in 2017. While the practice can affect men, the vast majority of victims of sexual exploitation are women -- primarily from Bulgaria, Romania and then Germany. The BKA also noted a significant increase in Nigerian victims.

What's more, many women are deceived about the actual conditions of prostitution, but are nonetheless unable escape it, the BKA found. The "Loverboy method" also plays a large role: Pimps manipulate young woman into an affair and use this emotional dependency to push them into prostitution. They often pretend to be in debt and tell the woman that prostitution is necessary to help pay it off.
Thanks to the internet in particular, modern day slavery has increasingly become a global phenomenon. "German customers can rent a child in the Philippines for an hour, who then has to do whatever they want in front of a webcam," said Roller...

-- "Germany is like Aldi (discount supermarket) for prostitutes."

- Germany Has Become the Cut-Rate Prostitution Capital of the World -

The presence of thousands of brothels and hundreds of thousands of prostitutes has heightened competition and pushed prices down steeply in the German sex trade. One tourist from Florida, who visits the country three times annually to pay for cheap sex, compares the scene to a discount supermarket: “Germany is like Aldi for prostitutes,” he says.

> Prostitution became legal in Germany in 2002, and the open sex trade has taken off in the years since. There are reportedly around 3,000 red-light establishments in the country, and 500 brothels in Berlin alone. It’s been estimated that more than 1 million men pay for sex in Germany every day. One of the classic arguments for legalizing prostitution is that recognizing and regulating the world’s oldest profession would improve the conditions of sex workers. Instead, recent reports paint legalized prostitution in Germany largely as a failure.

May, Der Spiegel published a series of stories highlighting the atrocious conditions endured by prostitutes in Germany, some of whom say they arrived in the country against their will.
> Typically, the stories involve young women from Romania and Bulgaria who were unwittingly duped into coming to Germany, where they were forced to service dozens of men daily in flat-rate deals where customers can have all the sex they want for an allotted time period.

In early June, a documentary aired on ARD, Germany’s public-broadcasting station, called Sex — Made in Germany. The film was made in part by bringing hidden cameras into brothels over the course of two years. “Sex is cheaper than anywhere else,” one brothel owner in Berlin says on camera. “Germany is the biggest whorehouse in Europe, no question,” a Danish brothel customer notes, according to Die Welt.
Germany’s prostitution scene has attracted visitors from around the world. Specialty tour operators have been booking groups of men from Asia, the Middle East and North America on “sex tourism” trips to Germany for years...

One of the worst results of Jeffrey Epstein's [ahem] death is that sex trafficking left the radar, for the most part. Sure, there are articles here and there like the one you posted, but sex slavery is really only mentioned for its titillation factor, just as it was before Epstein became a major subject in the news. This subject should be reported on every day and women around the world should be warned about what is going on in Germany and other countries where these brothels are allowed and thriving. It makes me sick to think of all the women and children and even some men who are cruelly abused this way. And the people who profit from this misery should pay dearly for their evil.

report on sex trafficking of English girls covered up for 16 years! by officials for fear of being 'viewed as racist.'

- BBC News, 'Rotherham child abuse scandal: 1,400 children exploited, report finds, 1997-2013.'
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-28939089

At least 1,400 children were subjected to appalling sexual exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013, a report has found. Children as young as 11 were raped by multiple perpetrators, abducted, trafficked by Asian men to other cities in England, beaten and intimidated, it said. The report, commissioned by Rotherham Borough Council, revealed there had been three previous inquiries.
Council leader Roger Stone said he would step down with immediate effect. Mr Stone, who has been the leader since 2003, said: "I believe it is only right that as leader I take responsibility for the historic failings described so clearly."

- Several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought as racist. The inquiry team noted fears among council staff of being labelled "racist" if they focused on victims' descriptions of the majority of abusers as "Asian" men. 'Doused in petrol' Professor Alexis Jay, who wrote the latest report, said there had been "blatant" collective failures by the council's leadership, senior managers had "underplayed" the scale of the problem and South Yorkshire Police had failed to prioritise the issue.

Being in the EU, they don't need a visa to be in Germany, but being the poorest, there will be more women who will risk things to get money, and will then have less resources to get themselves out of what it develops into.

11. I doubt that's often the case. More likely it's someone who is promised a real job

in Germany or similar, is perhaps lent some money that they give to their family before leaving, and then they take her passport on arrival, and say "you owe us money - you now work for us as a prostitute, and we know where your family lives if you get any ideas".

for many families. Privatization, the exportation of good jobs and the disappearance of social networks has everyone looking for better opportunities. A lot of these young women are mainly lured through the promise of jobs in the west. They're young, inexperienced, too trusting. It's not hard to fool them.
