A concealed carry person or possibly a security guard took down the shooter. So no, this is likely not the anti-gun controllers wet dream. There was a rapid response from about 5 concealed carry people who were present. They all likely saved lives today.

So I'm not sure what you're saying here. Anti-gun controllers probably do think this validates their case.

A holstered pistol against a shotgun held at the ready is a shitty day, I don't care how good of a draw you are. I definitely view this as a win for concealed carry. That was a highly inhospitable environment for a crazed gunman. The two that died were at extreme disadvantage, but they at least got a chance to fight, which is better than nothing at all.

Best fix here is to continue to work on why people do that shit, and how he got a gun while in that mindset. For everyone else, know that concealed carry (lawful) is fine, but may come at great personal cost, win or lose.
