Ethan Couch, who killed four people in 'affluenza' case, arrested again in Texas

Source: CNN

(CNN)Ethan Couch, known for his "affluenza" defense in his deadly drunk driving case, was arrested Thursday in Texas, accused of violating his probation again, officials said.

Couch, 22, is accused of testing positive for THC on a drug patch, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, citing court records. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the primary psychoactive component of the cannabis plant.

Couch first made headlines as a teenager when he was sentenced in 2013 to 10 years of probation for a drunken driving crash that killed four people and seriously injured two others.

Prosecutors in that case sought 20 years in prison, but Couch received no prison time after a psychologist testified that Couch was a victim of "affluenza," a product of wealthy, privileged parents who never set limits for him.

Imagine is Trump's parents had their little wookums trust fund taxed into oblivion. Trump may have grown up with a slightly smaller sense of entitlement and just a smidge of sanity.

was recently accused of domestic assault with a new girlfriend.

This kid didn't stand a chance. I don't know the answer, he obviously can't be out harming people. IIRC, there was another kid in the family too.

But with parents like that.....UGH.

if he was a minority he would've received max sentencing. Such is the state of our blind justice system. People with money get away with murder.

they were a pretty messed up family from the get-go. Kid should have been locked up a long time ago. He had no remorse whatsoever. I hope this time he will do some serious time. He'll learn what it means to be in a real prison.

if you violate it, then you serve the sentence you would've gotten had there not been probation.

So why is this persons fat lily white, over-indulged arse not in prison from having violated it the first time?????????????????????

So he could flee the country and spend some vacation time with mommy in mexico.

Who hasn't broken their felony probation to go on a vacation in mexico, after dying their hair and assuming a false identity?

It was nothing. A mere technical violation. Shouldn't count.

(that was sarcasm for the snark challenged).

Call it for what it is.

No euphemisms, no softening it.

No making up BS words like affluenza to explain or justify why someone is a criminal.
