Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham says John Bolton should share what he knows -- at a news conference

Source: Business Insider

Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham said on Fox News that former national security adviser John Bolton should talk — but at a news conference.
Graham told Fox News' Martha MacCallum that he has "all the evidence I need," before adding that he thinks the impeachment trial "needs to end now."
Bolton could be a key witness in the impeachment trial, if the Senate votes to allow witnesses to testify.
Revelations leaked from an unpublished manuscript of his upcoming book led to bombshell report in The New York Times seemingly confirming that Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine in exchange for investigations of a political rival.

"Hold a news conference, and we'll consider what you've got to say if you think is that important," Graham told Fox News.

"So I just think this, to me, needs to end," Graham added. "It needs to end now."

If that's the way it goes, then his lawyer should have a Federal judge swear him in before he starts to speak and sign an oath.

Otherwise, the GOPers, including Graham, will say it means nothing since he wasn't under oath.

Because you damn well know, none of Trump's team is going to let that orange road rage simian testify under oath. Not a snowball's chance in the heart of a neutron star.

snip....

The House Intelligence committee did not issue a subpoena to John Bolton after his attorney threatened to go to court to fight if it was issued, according to a House Intelligence Committee official.

"We would welcome John Bolton's deposition and he did not appear as he was requested today. His counsel has informed us that unlike three other dedicated public servants who worked for him on the NSC and have complied with lawful subpoenas, Mr. Bolton would take us to court if we subpoenaed him," the official said in a statement provided to CNN.

The official continued, "We regret Mr. Bolton's decision not to appear voluntarily, but we have no interest in allowing the administration to play rope-a-dope with us in the courts for months. Rather, the White House instruction that he not appear will add to the evidence of the President's obstruction of Congress."

snip

Should the fight over Bolton's testimony go to court, it would likely lead to a prolonged process that would extend beyond the House impeachment efforts, which they are looking to wrap up before the end of the year. Therefore, any court decision that would allow Bolton to testify would likely come too late for the Democrats' timeline.

There was also something Adam Schiff said in one of his press appearances. It had something to do with the courts and Mulvaney.
He said something along the lines of Mulvaney's lawyers are fighting trying to say they are illegal (I might be wrong about the language here).

But basically the republicans are trying (behind the scenes) to get the court to rule against the subpoena while in public they are saying Democrats aren't doing their job by requesting subpoena's.

It's a very disingenuous position.

They have snowed us for years to the point where they don’t even care about how stupid they look or sound. It no longer matters. Their long term plan is close to complete.
