Yhe FTSE 100 leading index of shares has plunged more than 8% in early trading as investors react to the oil price war launched by Saudi Arabia overnight, which wiped 30% of the price of a barrel of oil. It is on track for its worst one-day fall since 2008.

This price war screws Canada and US oil companies too and Venezuela is already permanently screwed into being a failed state.
