Von Sydow continued to work through his 70s and 80s, combining substantial roles in Europe including as the father in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly with chewy supporting work in Hollywood productions such as Minority Report (2002), Shutter Island, Robin Hood and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (all 2011).

Small role, small movie but one of my favorites. I loved the credit line "based on the book "Six Days of the Condor."

(15,942 posts)You see the whole culture. Nazis, deodorant salesmen, wrestlers, beauty contests, a talk show. Can you imagine the level of a mind that watches wrestling? But the worst are the fundamentalist preachers. Third grade con men telling the poor suckers that watch them that they speak with Jesus, and to please send in money. Money, money, money! If Jesus came back and saw what's going on in his name, he'd never stop throwing up.
