San Antonio Mayor To Announce "Stay Home/Work Safe" Order at 6:00 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – Local leaders will announce new restrictions on residents and businesses in Bexar County at 6 p.m. Monday in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. The press conference will be livestreamed in the player above.

The emergency order directs residents to shelter at home with the exception of crucial errands and job duties. Restaurants will remain open for delivery and takeout orders, as will grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies and other essential businesses. The order will be in effect starting 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday and will remain in effect until April 9 unless extended, according to a copy obtained by KSAT.
