Las Vegas is back in business, but new safety rules could call in the chips for Sin City's party rep

Source: Telegraph

After two months of empty blackjack tables and silent slot machines, the bright casino lights of Las Vegas are starting to flicker back on.

But with a string of new safety rules and regulations set up in response to the Covid-19 crisis, could Sin City be about to lose its devil-may-care image?

A glimpse of the future can be found in a new safety plan unveiled by one of Las Vegas’s biggest players, MGM Resorts International, which operates a number of casinos and hotels on the famous Strip, including the MGM Grand, the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage.

The seven-point plan reveals that Plexiglass barriers at gaming tables and handwashing stations on the casino floors will become standard as punters start to return.

I won't be going back this year at least. Maybe later next year if we get a vaccine. But as long as we have to put up with this crap, no dice.

I'm not visiting Vegas, restaurants, concerts, sports, and just about anything else if we have to live in a bubble. It totally takes the fun out of it.

I went to 3 shows that week. I was in the middle of the Park MGM when the NBA announced they were cancelling the remainder of their season. It was the weirdest feeling in the world.

But I'm not going back until social distancing is no longer a thing.

on a couple fronts. I have children and grandchildren in CA and AZ and nothing is more important than being with them, when it is safe to do so. I can play poker in LA. I only went to Vegas to gamble basically.

I frequent Las Vegas but won't be going in the foreseeable future. It's the worst place during a pandemic. People from all over the world in one place. Everything's crowded. People's immune systems are compromised from smoking, drinking, and staying up late. Nightclubs. Everyone's touching everything. Etc.

In a perfect world with caring people it might work. Give it fifteen minutes and it goes to hell in a hand basket.

Spores will always be in the Environment because Air Exchange equipment will not clean these spores from the Ambient environment. Only way to prevent this from happening is,have a Clean Room Environment and that is not going to happen.

By Memorial Day weekend, our Country is going to see on hell of a surge in Infected people.
