Harris: Trump 'just tear-gassed peaceful protesters for a photo op'
Source: MSN
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) accused President Trump of firing tear gas at peaceful protestors "for a photo op."
"Donald Trump just tear-gassed peaceful protesters for a photo op," Harris tweeted Monday.
Several loud bangs echoed before Trump took the podium at the Rose Garden as law enforcement fired tear gas into a crowd of peaceful protesters.
Trump then walked from the White House to the St. John's Church and held up a bible as he took pictures with staff.

(10,718 posts)Though there's a few other options I'd also be happy with. In dark times, that at least is a good thing to focus on; we have a solid chance at taking back the government and we have a great number of competent leaders willing and able to pitch in. The shit timeline we've been living could be turned around.
At least there's a chance.

As Trump spoke in the Rose Garden, hundreds of people were gathered just outside of Lafayette Park across the street from the White House to protest for the fourth consecutive night as part of the nationwide demonstrations that have sprung up in response to George Floyd's death.
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) instituted a city-wide curfew to go into effect at 7 p.m. Monday, following outbreaks of violent demonstrations across the capital the night before.

I'd like to say that sort of brutality is unbelievable, but having seen a gun aimed at a small child and protesters being beaten and arrested (where's that so-called anti-lockdown crowd when you need them? Not surprisingly, curfews and this lockdown doesn't bother them) it's not unbelievable.
