Trump Floats Conspiracy That 75-Year-Old Buffalo Protester Pushed By Police Was 'A Set Up'
Source: Huffington Post
President Donald Trump dangerously suggested with no evidence whatsoever that a 75-year-old protester shoved by police in Buffalo, New York, last week could be a set up by an ANTIFA provocateur.
Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur. 75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment, the president tweeted Tuesday morning. I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?

So, Trump is saying that the 75 year old man was asking for it.

(12,424 posts)They can't even stand themselves...need to lie as shoving a kind, gentle elderly man to the ground when he just wanted to talk...causing traumatic brain injury and walked on by...true evil they are.
See, even our elderly if perceived as a liberal are risking their life if they approach a cop! Trump created this acceptable behavior.

(51,167 posts)What would be the purpose? It wasn't a violent protest, all those officers in line were within touching or sight distance.
Plus, a scanner doesn't disrupt anything. It's for listening.
To me it looks like he has a helmet in his left hand and a phone in his right. I'd also think Buffalo police would have made a big deal if he had any sort of disruptive electronic device.
I'm not being snarky towards you personally, I get your original question.

Hello? There's video to watch and unless you buy into: Don't trust your lying eyes, the evidence is clear.
Here's a thought: Let's do an experiment. Have one of these cops shove Mr. Liar-in-Chief and see what happens. I'm betting gravity will solve our problem once Trump goes flying on his back, crashes through the pavement and arrives in China sometime next week.
A girl can dream.

(15,727 posts)that he is about to be shoved. When a push comes out of the blue it is hard to keep balance. Speaking as an old man with vertigo.
It is about the same as just walking in the yard and step into a hole that you did not know was there. I don't gracefully fall to the ground , I stumble and try to catch myself, but I am going down.
Since he was thrown off balance from the front, I can't see any way of him catching himself before he hit the pavement with that sound of a melon being dropped.
I don't find the 2 officers that are being charged for it as much as the rest of the team that just ignored the man. The first 2 were just doing what police do, push people. The rest of the team ignored an injured citizen which they are not supposed to so.

Still a real total dick move, though.

(7,113 posts)If the old man wanted police communications, all he or anyone else needs to do is download a Scanner Radio app. I have one to listen to police, fire, EMS calls, and it doesn't require cracking your head open on concrete and ending up in the hospital.

(4,869 posts)Buffalo, N.Y., Mayor Byron Brown (D) said on Friday that he was told a protester who was tackled and arrested by state police earlier in the week was a major instigator and an agitator.
Brown said state police officers were involved in the arrest of the protester, Myles Carter, last Monday and that the city does not have the ability to take action against them.
What we were informed of is that that individual was an agitator. He was trying to spark up the crowd of people, Brown told reporters, according to a recording of his comments reported by radio station WBEN.

BUFFALO, N.Y. The 75-year-old man who was injured when shoved by Buffalo Police officers during a protest in Niagara Square last week is still in the hospital recovering.
His attorney, Kelly V. Zarcone, issued this statement:
Martin Gugino is still hospitalized and his condition remains largely unchanged. He is in serious but stable condition. Martin has acknowledged and sincerely appreciates the tremendous outpouring of support he has received nationwide. Martin and his family continue to request privacy as they focus on Martins health and recovery.

Holy fuck! Has he now even lost OANN, or have they been hacked, or are they trying to provide some perverse sort of 'cover'? Since there'e been no report of a head exploding in the vicinity of the White House, I can probably safely assume that the tiny-handed one has not seen this on the OANN site.
On edit:
The article that OANN has (the ONLY mention of Mr. Gugino on their whole site) is actually a Reuters article that they put on their site.
