Chris Christie dismisses poll truthers: The polls aren’t rigged against Romney
Source: Raw Story
Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie insists that the many presidential polls showing President Barack Obama with an edge over GOP hopeful Mitt Romney arent rigged, no matter what so-called poll truthers like Karl Rove and Dick Morris say.
I dont buy that, Christie told ABC host George Stephanopoulos on Sunday. You look at every poll, you look at its methodology, you can say whether its a good or bad poll.
But do I think theres a concerted effort to skew the polls against Gov. Romney? No, I dont buy that, he said.
During a segment last week on Fox News, Morris had claimed that Romney was in a very strong position even though polls showed him down in all nine battleground states.

Is Christie going rogue? First, he raises debate expectations for Romney for so high that people will expect Romney to shoot eloquence out of his ass. Second, Christie undercuts Romney's talking point that President Obama's positive poll numbers are rigged as part of some massive conspiracy.

So, the real question is-- why is Christie sabotaging Romney?

(50,560 posts)Christie is speaking the plain truth: the Romney campaign is run horrifically, and their candidate is terrible.

(43,049 posts)so I suspect someone's been talking to him about just who's the candidate he's supposed to be working for.

(2,117 posts)That says more about the state of the party than it says about him of course, but for him to admit the polls are not rigged and to publicly denounce the bumbling idiot from Missouri, that instantly puts him above around 95% of the party.

(3,960 posts)He knows if he toes the polls are rigged line it wil hurt him down the road. And I love that he put Romney's debate expectations through the roof. It sets his bar that much higher.

(223 posts)Is the biggest idiot ever, this guy is going on TV claiming that Mitt will win Michigan, Ohio, Flordia, Iowa, and just about every other state. Christie never liked Romney to begin with just look at his convention speech when he spent most of the time talking about himself rather then Romney. Romney can't get Christie on his side even if he bribed him with 10 buckets of buffalo wings

(8,758 posts)Romney is too soft and full of waffles to beat Obama. Romney's campaign is the worst one since Dukakis, probably worse than Dukakis. That doesn't mean Obama is going to get a Reagan-esque landslide, but the poor quality of Romney's campaign is one of the worst in recent history.
Christie knows Romney is cooked. He knew Romney was cooked at the RNC and his speech showed it. He was auditioning for 2016 not supporting the party's nominee. I think Christie is still auditioning now.
