I know just about everyone knew a "bully" or usually several "bullies" in grade school, who seemed to manage to always get away with that type of behavior (often because there were so few of them and in some cases, their parents had "pull" to smooth things over). Now imagine all the bullies in all the schools in all the cities and towns around and across America, and you are talking about a lot of them. And those who always sucked up to and/or admired the bully, adds on additional millions. These are his "base".

Meanwhile, everyone else knew a bully when they saw one and called them what they were, and moved on.

I remember a few years ago reading about "elder abuse" that often goes on in retirement communities and the article interviewed some of the residents who described some of the crass, insulting, spiteful, cliquish, and vindictive behavior that a handful of other residents exhibited that made it miserable for everyone else in those communities.

Those types of people were like that when they were kids and they are still like that in their later years.

Understand Griffin is a Cancer Survivor and attacking her is just attacking more of his base. Cancer Survivor's generally are a tough group and just do not take any shit from the likes of Trump or anyone for that matter. Had two Sister in Law Breast Cancer Survivors and watched their thought process do a one eighty turn for quiet to very vocal right to their very end when remission fell.
