Ryan Cuts off Michican Reporter grilling him on Gun Violence, Tax Cuts
Source: fox news
"Does the country have a gun problem?" WJRT's Terry Camp asked in a one-on-one interview.
In an unlikely turn, the WJRT reporter followed up by asking, "And you can do all that by cutting taxes? With a big tax cut?"
"Those are your words, not mine," Ryan responded curtly. His press secretary Michael Steel interrupted from off-camera, "Thank you very much, sir."
As Ryan began taking off his mic, he commented, "That was kind of strange, you're trying to stuff words in people's mouths?"
Camp replied, "Well, I don't know if it's strange."
Ryan disagreed, "Sounds like you're trying to put answers to questions," after which the camera lens is covered in a video that was posted on the affiliate's website but was later removed.

What else has he proposed, except his mean-ass "spending" cuts (on things that others of us call investments in the country) and expecting "charities" and others to pick up all the slack and provide opportunity at no cost, that is going to do anything?
That seems like a logical summation of his points, except that it's no real answer, and perhaps he knew that.
Is that badgering, or a legitimate question?

(16,984 posts)As for whether he truly believes them or not, I can't say. But he covers what is evidently a mean streak with the boyish veneer.
He's only getting nastier as the campaign goes on. The latest version of his stump speech specifically blames the president and vice president for the housing bubble.

(582 posts)Or does the Republican ticket seem to treat ordinary Americans as junior or lower grade employees? Donors seem to get the stockholder's treatment. Am I seeing something that is not there, or stretching the Corporate America allusion too far?

Note that Ryan rattled off NRA/gungeon talking points: "We have to enforce the existing gun laws" and "we don't need new gun laws".
