New Obama Ad Highlights Romney’s Tax Returns

Source: TPM

BENJY SARLIN 3:08 PM EDT, FRIDAY OCTOBER 12, 2012

The Obama campaign is focusing on tax fairness in their latest ad, using a Mitt Romney interview about his tax rate that Joe Biden brought up in the vice presidential debate on Thursday.

Most of the spot consists of a clip of Romney on 60 Minutes last month defending his 14% effective tax rate on $20 million of income, which is on par with some middle-income workers' tax rates, as fair and a way to "encourage growth."

"Lower tax rates for him than us," the ad's narrator says. "Is that the way to grow America?"

keep their wealth so that they can create more jobs. When in reality these so-called job creators take the money and run to offshore accounts or Chinese investments like the buffoon above.

If you want to stimulate the economy, take the money, give it to the middle class as the President intends, and allow the middle class to spend the money to either shore up credit accounts, loans, or make some much needed purchases. That same amount of purchase power aka spending, promotes job growth to keep up with demand, boosts consumer confidence, and helps everyone across the board.

I think it's quite effective. This needs to be hammered home to middle class people who think he's going to create any jobs. Hell, this a**hole never did a productive day's work in his life - another W.

that at least for the tax returns he has shown to us he is paying 14% for essentially sitting on his fat ass while someone who gets up every morning, drives in traffic, performs a job, drives home, picks up the kids, etc. pays a higher percentage.

Oh and let's not forget that not only is Mittens paying a lower federal income tax rate, because his earnings derive from "capital" and not actual "labor", he doesn't pay Social Security or Medicare taxes on that income either.

And he has the audacity to say the 47% don't want to take responsibility for themselves. He is a loathsome individual.

He's a hoarder, just like the rest of the billionaires, not a job creator.

this is an issue that Obama needs to ride like a wild stallion. Swing like a sledge hammer and push it like its on fire. Mitt is a crook. Its that simple. Biden needs to get out front and and flat out accuse mittens of being a filthy criminal. And the president must make people understand why this issue is so important. We have to know who he does business with. Does he do business with our enemies? What conflicts of interest are there? so Obama must ask Mittens directly, 'what have you got to hide?'
