GOP senate candidate in Boston is bankrolling black voter group to support him and paying them $8/HR

The Republican Party in Massachusetts has found a way to get black voters to campaign for Sen. Scott Brown pay them $8 an hour.
The state GOPs MassVictory program is funding a group called Obama Supporters for Brown to campaign for Brown in an inner city Boston neighborhood that strongly backs his Democratic challenger, Elizabeth Warren.
And that report comes courtesy of the conservative Boston Herald, not the liberal Boston Globe.
Benjamin Thompson, a black former city elections commissioner, told The Herald he pays about 20 campaign workers a per diem that works out to about $8 an hour.

This reminds me of the GOP funded Anti-Harry Reid Latino group that materialized during the 2010 elections, which urged Latinos not to vote in order to send a message to Democrats.

(9,992 posts)Am I wrong for hoping those workers are taking Brown's money and secretly stumping for Warren?

(5,342 posts)Sometimes, that is, and of course they are focusing on certain groups. I've heard those certain groups laughingly say they take the pay and whatever other goodies they're given and still vote the way they want and work behind the scenes to get the candidate they want to get into office.
A fool and his money are soon parted....
