Bain Capital is largest NRCC donor
Source: The Washington Times
Bain Capital, Mitt Romney's former firm, was the top employer among donors to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in September, underscoring the extent to which Mr. Romney's associates in the financial sector are financing not just his presidential bid, but the gamut of Republican activities.
The NRCC raised $12 million last month, one-third of which came from corporate PACs and $1 million of which came from small donors giving $200 or less. The rest came from people giving up to $35,000 each to the party committee, including $4.5 million that was raised through a partnership with the Romney presidential campaign, Romney Victory.

Not only is Bain Capital bankrolling the death of my hometown, Freeport, Illinois, but Bain is also bankrolling our local GOP congressman's re-election and the negative ads he is running against his democratic party opposition.
If corporations were, indeed, "people", I know a ''person'' I'd like to put my hands around and throttle.

(19,458 posts)I mean.. think about how much money the Right and Corporate America has poured into the races on behalf of the repubs. EVEN with all of that money, and the supreme court right wingers helping them out, they can't get a lead in the polls.
I want to see the right wing candidates bounced out on election day, so that I can tweet to that Koch-Sucker Rove... How'd that Crossroads money work out for ya????

(5,609 posts)and one I'd like to know the answer to. The fact that there are religious fitness tests for employment is unconscionable imho, but real and happening as we speak. My daughter was a finalist candidate for a job with a hospital run by a church. It was legal for them to inquire about her religious beliefs, and ultimately she thinks she lost the job because she honestly stated has no religious affiliation, which was not OK with the interviewers. Jesus wouldn't recognize these people as his.

Boy, when you think of it like that (which is to say, absolutely accurately), it's hard to even imagine how many families had their lives turned upside down so Bain could contribute all that money to get their political lackeys, and their boss, into government and make themselves even richer.

(26,622 posts)do these right wing fringe candidates have a voice and an expensive soapbox to broadcast their radical and anti democratic ideas. If they had no backing, they would be standing on a real soapbox on a street corner sounding like the extremists they are. We must end the money in politics and send these idealogues back to the fringe. A few bizzilionalires want to rule the world, and they will stop at nothing...
