Custom-painted bulldozer rolls for Romney

Source: Des Moines Register

The Mitt Romney campaign bulldozed into President Barack’s Obama’s re-election rally here on Wednesday.

Literally.

The Republican nominee’s campaign rolled in a custom-painted red, white and blue bulldozer on a flatbed truck, setting up just down the street from Obama’s event at Cornell College and making it the centerpiece of a GOP counter-protest.

I see this as a sign of desperation....seriously...are they so worried that they have to show up at an Obama rally and try to disrupt with this kind of tactic? Seriously?

How incredibly pathetic....but it shows me Obama is winning!!!!

It's the "It's my turn, and I'll bulldoze my way into that Oval Office with LIES" campaign!

Wow, a whole campaign centered around a sentence that was pulled from an Obama speech and wildly taken out of context. The whole, "You didn't build that" nonsense rears its empty head for one last hurrah. LOL!

I went back and read that speech. Obama spent at least two paragraphs, listing out government services that help small businesses, then he said, "If you're a small business owner, you didn't built that!" The "that" to which Obama was referring--was the two paragraphs that he just spent ten minutes discussing!

Anyone with a few neurons firing knows that.

But these protesters, listen to Glenn Beck and they believe what he says. Sometimes their belief in sentences taken out of context is so strong--that they are inspired to paint bulldozers and traveling around the country raging against these out-of-context nuggets!

One signs says "Energized to vote for Romney" and the sign next to her says ".....and Growing"

But the irony of it is there are 8 people TOTAL there at the protest; whereas, I suspect Obama probably easily had a few thousand!

I guess there weren't any roads in Ia before 1996 to ship broken engines to him for rebuild. I guess he never sold any equipment to infrastructure projects.

It's still not clear from the article whos campaign he's following with that fancy paint job.

An ancient meteorite crashes onto the Earth's surface. Six construction workers later begin work building an airstrip at the site, on an island off the coast of Africa.

Foreman Kelly (Clint Walker) and bulldozer driver Mack (Robert Urich) uncover the meteorite, which emits a strange sound. When the bulldozer (a Caterpillar D9) is used to try to shift the meteorite, it emits a blue light and seems to possess the bulldozer. Mack, standing nearby as this occurs, falls ill and then dies. Chub (Neville Brand), the team's mechanic, can not find anything wrong with the non-functioning bulldozer, but can hear the odd sound behind the scoop. Kelly orders that the bulldozer not be used.

Beltran (James A. Watson Jr.) ignores the prohibition and starts the bulldozer, bringing it to malevolent life. It destroys the camp's only two-way radio and begins a rampage, killing the workers one by one. It seems to run indefinitely in spite of a limited fuel capacity. The machine has some rudimentary intelligence and guile, and hunts down the men.

and I am a real sci/fi dork.

The part I remember is people running & the damn dozer only goes about 2 mph & lot of screaming..........

I have not had time to watch it again but I will tonight from a nice sofa.

If ya like sci/fi & adventure The Green Lantern Animated Series kicks ass. Compassion, sacrifice, bravery, loyalty & trust are just a few aspects the show portrays in a positive light. No BS, I am 51 yo & it more often than not brings me to tears. I actually went out & spent money to buy it which is very unusual for me.

and is a bully now...he just can't do it by himself with Obama...he needs a redneck, tea-party back-up. Such a loser...and a sore loser at that. Puppet Rob-me cares nothing for this country or Americans. It's all about the $$$$$$$ in HIS and his owners pockets. Apparently, the whole family is into violence. In the genes, I guess. Sad and funny at the same time. It doesn't matter how much money you have. It still can't buy class, manners, true love, or real friends.

They got Romney a job so he can pay his campaign bills after he loses on November 6.

You can't do much with a D4 Cat, but they work well for plowing pig shit into lagoons, tearing out Republican campaign signs and building landscape for rich Republicans who earned their fortunes making things in the U.S. rather than outsourcing jobs to China.
