In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to hear of conspiracy charges being added to the menu... that makes it worse.

The Republican party's ideas for this country, and their behavior in this and so many other matters, show them unworthy to hold office. Since they cannot win on the truth, they have chosen to cheat.

(31,849 posts)the real stuff will be coming out shortly. Stuff like, The only registration forms found in the dumpster were of Democrats and when interviewed (or at trial) this guy says, "They told us to just throw any forms not marked republican ... and here's the tape of him doing so. I heard him on a conference call the other day with some guy named rove and Adelson, they were talking about how he needed to make sure he wasn't registering any n-loving democrats."
Tick Tock, Tick Tock
A guy can dream, can't he?

(16 posts)doesn't list party. You just register, period. However, at least one of the 8 registration forms was for an 18 year old, and the town has one of the largest of Virginia's state universities. I suspect that there was either 1 - an assumption that young people will vote Democratic, or 2 - there may have been conversations between the registers and registrees that indicated a preference and those registrations were put aside to be trashed later.

(10,857 posts)Out-of-state and even out-of-precinct Virginia college students are already effectively disenfranchised by being prevented from voting in their college's precincts. Many students jump through a great many hoops to establish residency in Harrisonburg.
This guy's job was to make sure that they still can't vote.
I'll peck away at my local information sources to see if I can glean any prurient details, but I'll tell y'all the truth right now: the only Virginians who know about this are the informed voters, virtually all of them already Democrats.
Until we can find a way to get good information to conservative voters, from sources they trust, they'll never even know this happened, and they won't believe me if I tell them.

(43,173 posts)Is this the VOTER FRAUD that the GOP legislatures have targeted?
No.
But it's just the tip of the iceberg.
and they only found out about it because of a DUMPSTER DIVER.
Wonder how widespread? how many dumpsters? How many counties
and states?
The GOP has been as obsessed with VOTER FRAUD as with ABORTION
as with BIRTH-TRUTHERS. This story has legs.

(16,230 posts)He went out to see what it was and move it to the trash bin. Fortunately he noticed the car and plate and they were able to trace it to Small.
So it was only by dumb luck that Small was caught. How many times was this done when nobody saw it?
It's fortunate that they were too stupid or cheap to use a shredder.

(776 posts)50-year old William T. Hazard of Boynton Beach maintains his innocence and says he never forged applications or even "wrote on any of the forms he collected." He says he left the firm over a pay dispute two weeks ago. Strategic Allied says the man was fired.
In any event, while saying he "did nothing wrong," he explained to the Times that he answered a Craigslist ad by a company called PinPoint Staffing seeking registered Republicans to do "voter surveys" for $12/hour.
"His only instructions," the paper reports, "were to approach people and ask whom they supported in the presidential election. When people answered with President Obama, he said, he wished them a good day. If someone said Mitt Romney, he asked if they were registered to vote. If not, he handed them forms to fill out."
He added that he was "expected to register Republicans."

He was Dem chair of CA party & knows a lot of people, but did
not go off or laugh at all. One mention then done, I mean it is comedy gold
why so quiet about it.
Stephanie Miller & Co seemed to laff it up but no implications of seriousness.
I call a lot of Senators yesterday about this & several people were stunned & amazed.
A women at Sherod Browns office said "oh my god" as she pulled up the arrest report.
She sounded happy.
The entire GOP is about to be put under a lot of stress.
I will watch CUrrent all night, I bet I hear about it.
