Romney Supporters Make Push for Evangelical Voters

Source: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240529702034

EATON, Ohio—Conservative activists are making a big push to drive evangelical voters to the polls, sensing that a large pool of voters with conservative Christian leanings who sat out the 2008 election could provide a surge for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The push has taken on particular importance as polls show the race to be deadlocked, suggesting that victory may hinge on which campaign is better at turning its more tentative supporters into voters.

A group called Citizens for Community Values Action has sent a brightly painted RV around Ohio to promote voter registration, recruit pastors and distribute voter guides to rural churches. The Faith and Freedom Coalition, a national group led by conservative organizer Ralph Reed, has contact information for about 17.3 million conservative voters in 15 key states and is contacting Ohio voters to urge them to take advantage of early voting.

Mr. Romney's support tops 80% nationwide among white evangelicals who are likely to vote, according to combined data from the last two Wall Street Journal/NBC News polls, in late September and early October. That is in line with Mr. Bush's 78% support in 2004 and a higher share than the 74% who according to exit polls backed the 2008 GOP nominee, Sen. John McCain.

SO .... let me get this straight - there were evangelical voters in Ohio who didn't get the message about the "black Muslim" Obama in 2008 who need to be reached out to because they may not vote for an actual non-Christian Romney?

The very last shred of empahty for 'Christian conservatives' is in the process of being flused down the Mormon manhole. These so called 'evangelicals' have spent years, no decades, claiming that they were so utterly devoted to the Bible as the only and total 'Word of God' as their excuse for attacks on LGBT Americans as well as reason to paint the President as a Muslim. Now they are suddenly willing to elect a polytheist who denies the virgin birth, althought their 'Word of God' says there is ONE God, and his son was concieved without sexual congress. Now, after claiming a few words from St Paul means they must aggressively libel and attack gay people, they say none of the words in their book matter at all. They are now saying there are many, many Gods, that Mary was just another wayward teen Mom...what the 'Bible' says no longer matters to them, clearly it never did, and from now on they must be dealth with as the affectational liars that they are. They hold NO faith. They do not adhere to the Bible, not at all, nor do they mind voting for those who deny, openly, what it says and also add another set of 'Scritpures' when the Bible says 'do not add nor subtract' from the text.
It is just infuriating. No longer will I endure their claims of faith, nor of belief. They are improvisational in their theology, now they are polytheists for Mitt.
Also, after claiming Obama is a Muslim, when he is a Christian, they are claiming that Mitt is a Christian, even though he's not. Fuck them. When they say 'oh, my faith is important to my political values' the new response is 'What fucking faith, the one about Kaloob and how Mitt will be the new God?'

After attacking so many in the name of their theology, they dump it all and endorse that which they used to say was blasphemy, heresy and worse. No group is less principled than American Evangelicals voting for a polytheistic heretic. What is amazing is that they will STILL try to vomit verses against others, even as they edit out major doctrain and add an entire new book of Scripture to their faith, adding many new Gods to what is now a Pantheon of Evangelical Dieties.
They are and always have been liars, now they are liars without a faith to stand upon. They deny their own so called faith for Mitt. And they don't even like him. They simply hate Obama, because, like LDS until 1978, they are simply racists.

Some outside group "protecting Christianity" from the heathen Romney needs to pop up, laying out the differences like you did.

They also need to talk about grandfather Romney moving to Mexico so he could keep his harem when the government outlawed polygamy.

BTW, I think they should call his wives a harem b/c it sounds kind of Muslim.

At the Southern Missouri Southern Baptist church my family went to when I was growing up, I remember sermons as well as Sunday School classes where they called Mormonism (as well as Catholicism!) a CULT. Mormons worship false prophets, plain and simple.

These people are all just money grubbing republican hypocrites!
