Trump Promises 'Very Big' Political Bombshell Wednesday
Source: CNBC
Real estate magnate and Republican political figure Donald Trump told CNBC he has a major announcement to make Wednesday concerning the presidential race.
...
"I do have something that's very big. It's about President Obama," he said during a "Squawk Box" interview. Asked if he could provide any hints of what he might be divulging, Trump said, "No, but tomorrow you'll see."
...
During the interview, Democratic operative and Daily Beast columnist Bob Shrum mocked Trump's claims over Obama's residency.
...
"Hey, Bob," he later added, "guys like you are what set this country so far behind. We're now a laughing stock throughout the world.
"No, Donald, you're a laughingstock," Shrum said.

Wednesday? after the debate is finished and polls are going back up, he will spring his "news".... sorry, ANYTHING from TRUMP is fabricated bullshit. (460 posts)Recall that someone let Jerome on Romney's plan a few days ago. This hate monger is making his fortune by trashing our president. He has zero credibility, so Romney decided to let the Donald make the big announcement. I predict its going to a rehash of the Tea Party belief that Frank Marshall Davis is actually the president's father. Trump will produce some fake documentation to try to cast doubt in the minds of the voters that Obama is who he says he is. THIS IS ABSOLUTETLY DISGRACEFUL.

(15,245 posts)It seems the county Prosecuting Attorney went to Court following heart surgery. He would not previously resign because he needed health insurance and had not prepped for a murder trial. When he goes to Court he dropped on the floor and started singing. The judge asked "What are you doing?".... Answer "Distracting and delaying". The judge did not throw the Prosecutor in jail afraid he might die after heart surgery. True Story heard first hand from those involved.

(5,842 posts)It's understandable that FOX would have Trump on to discuss his latest delusional ego-trip. After all, they pretty much gave up any remote claim they had to being fair and balanced when they went 100% "Obama-hate" during/after the 2008 election.
But for a "serious" news-channel like CNBC to give Trump actual air-time for further promote this nonsense is utterly indefensible.

From the article in response to Shrum asking if it was going to make more sense than birtherism...
"I think it's going to make a lot of sense. I think birtherism makes a lot of sense to a lot of people to be honest with you," Trump replied. "A lot of people agree with it and a lot of people like me very much because of that. All we want is the truth, Bob."

(2,966 posts)I know that Trump can't come up with any truthful revelation that would detract form the President's qualification to get re-elected. But, Republicans have this sad procedure (that works, unfortunately) where they put out a lie or flurry of "noise" that disrupts things for a while (a few days to just over a week). They time it to coincide with some critical milestone (in this case, the election itself)
The doubt and mayhem that it creates momentarily lowers the numbers for their opponent. But, by the time the fact checkers and corrective media coverage work through their processes and the original numbers are restored, the milestone they were seeking to disrupt has passed - and has swung in their favor.
This is what happened with Prop 8 here in Cali. It was polling behind by 5 points up until 2 weeks before election day. At that point, Prop 8 supporters implemented a huge advertising blitz whereby the numbers flipped and Prop 8 went to polling at 5 points ahead (i.e., more than 50-percent opposing gay marriage). After Prop 8 passed and the advertising subsided, those polling in favor of gay marriage flipped back to over 50% - and has increased since then. But, Republicans fighting gay marriage still say that banning it is "...the will of the people..." as evidenced by the passage of Prop 8 - even though the official vote occurred during an engineered disturbance in the numbers.
Trump will release some lie that'll take time to disprove. During the post-lie fight, Obama's numbers will go down as the idiot "independent and uncommitted voters" react to the adverse information that Trump vomits up. We can only hope the misdirection gets fixed in time to restore the numbers back in Obama's favor before the election.
