arent we spying on those in sensitive positions? If they found out by accident I will be very disappointed. I believe lower level employees with high level security clearances are watched, esp their emails.

The FOX HATE NEWS narrative is that Petraeus resigned to prevent him from revealing damaging info against the President. But that doesn't make any sense since Petraeus, as CIA director knew that the Benghazi arena was a CIA operation. He obviously had to know all the details of the operation UNDER HIS OPERATIONAL CONTROL. Stevens and three ex-Navy SEALS were in a CIA safe house in Benghazi. I'm sure Petraeus knew about the Benghazi safe house too. It appears Paula Broadwell also knew about the Benghazi safe house and the increasingly dangerous situation. It is extremely puzzling that the attackers were able to overtake 3 ex-Navy SEALS who were also CIA operatives. The initial report claims the attack was highly organized and conducted with precision. Who does that sound like?

which was well known by others,
which was dug up during the campaign
by somebody like Rove or Romney operatives,
who attempted to drag it in during the election.

Kelley and Petraeus were just friends. The FBI came to the conclusion Petraeus and Broadwell were having an affair based on the content of their email exchanges.

If there had been only one woman, I might believe a tired marriage and a sudden, unexpected passion flaring up. But since there were two, and possibly more, no. I suspect that General Petraeus has been indulging in "extremely poor judgement" all along.

On edit: Just read that Petraeus did not have and affair with the woman who was threatened via e-mail and that the e-mails may not have come from the woman with whom he did have the affair. So maybe have been the unexpected attraction and passion...
