Scoop: GOP group privately warns against all-in Biden attacks

Source: Axios

A Republican Party committee is privately warning its candidates that just hitting President Biden will be "insufficient" to win in November, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: The GOP's top fundraising committee for state-level leaders argued that Biden doesn't hurt candidates down ballot in the way some presidents have in the past.

  • "Steer clear of making the election a singular referendum on Joe Biden," wrote Dee Duncan, the president of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC).
  • The memo advised against using Biden "as your crutch" and said campaigns need to make an affirmative case for GOP policies.

  • Between the lines: Duncan argued that Biden-bashing without a clearer policy argument is why Republicans underperformed in the 2022 midterms.

  • "We must learn from the missteps of the 2022 cycle and not solely target Joe Biden in our campaign messaging," he wrote.

    2. GOP should focus on their platform. It's so compelling that I'll post it here.

Things that Joe Biden will never give you.
    But we pledge to deliver.

    • Government dictates what you read, your religion and your private life. Period trackers mandatory, and report to the government.

    • Devastating climate change.

    • A deadly all-out war on the rights of women.

    • More welfare for the rich.

    • Americans pitted against each other along lines of race, color, religion, gender, sexuality, and income. Vilification of blacks, Jews, Muslims, lgbtq+ , homeless, and women of strength, with increasing violence, even murder against them.

    • Private health care companies deny needed treatments to save money. (Death panels are here!)

    • The wealthy pay even less in taxes.

    • Every civil right is eroded by clown judges living in the 18th century rewriting the constitution.

    • Worker's rights and benefits reduced in order to create greater profits for businesses.

    • Safety nets removed, so that homeless, and jobless people are left to die on the streets.

    • More, more, more of culture war.

    • GUNS, everywhere, with no limitations or requirements. Kids get them freely.

    • Minorities and women blamed for every imaginable blip.

    • Support of authoritarian regimes across the globe, who eagerly imprison, "re-educate", murder and commit atrocities on others.

    • Lies, hate speech and threats are welcomed on "social media" and given support by government officials.

    • Medical care and prescription drug costs skyrocket. (and more ... )

Do they see what the republicans have been doing in the house and what is coming out of the mouths of the republicans in the house, along with a disaster of investigations and unable to govern. Do they think people do not see that? I sure as hell hope they have.

That could be how we get the House back while keeping the White House and strengthening our Senate majority.

Republicans have no "policies". They are all bluster, deflection, and obstruction. It is all just a show for them.

We hate all the same people you do, but we won't allow any woke people to call you bigots or racists just because we are it doesn't mean they get to say it.

We will base all our laws on Christianity our version of it though. If Christ were actually alive today, we would declare him a woke hippy and enemy of the state. Who did he think he was anyway God's son? We all know Donny is God, and he would never name one of his sons Jesus, it sounds a little too ethnic, if you get our drift.

Oh and if you're a rich selfish asshat, we promise you will never have to pay a dime in taxes, cause that's only for the "little people," and we've conned enough of the dumbasses into believing we are actually on their side, and we plan to defund education so future generations will be even dumber. Isn't that rich? Vote for us, because even if you're already obscenely wealthy we will make you even more so.

    7. They don't have much if they don't target Biden

    Running on
    - We want to end abortion
    - Hey! Carry the dead fetus to term
    - Let's end no fault divorce
    - Children don't need free school lunches. Starving builds character
    - Bring back the workhouse ethos - end school lunches
    - Work until you die -- Ben Shapiro thinks so
    - Who needs fresh meat, when there's canned salmon
    - End contraception
    - Raped? Pregnant? 10 years old? You can't abort it.
    - Giving birth has a 99.9999999999% chance of killing you. There's still a chance you could live.
    - Hey! There have been theocracies around longer than democracies. There's got to be a reason for that, right?
    - Books bad. Burning them creates heat in the winter.
    - Cure for poverty? Give the money to the rich.
    - Beware of trans and lgbtq people

Isn't exactly a laundry list of winning slogans.
Not saying attacking Biden is a great message.
But compared to what they have as options...

...saying the same thing. There are no policies to run on. All we know is what they're against, and it's stuff most people aren't against. I guess this makes 5.

They can't run on that - they have to lie and even then the lies are so shallow and inane that only the right wing stupid follow and they've got that marked tied down.
