Norquist says he won’t punish lawmakers for ‘impure thoughts’ alone
By Meghashyam Mali - 12/11/12 07:32 AM ET

Conservative anti-tax activist Grover Norquist is holding back on punishing GOP lawmakers who have said they are open to raising taxes in a deficit deal.

In an interview with Reuters published Tuesday, the president of Americans for Tax Reform said that he wouldn’t act against Republicans for holding “impure thoughts” alone.

“Thinking something out loud is not treason,” said Norquist, noting that no lawmakers have actually voted yet to raise tax rates.

His comments come as more GOP lawmakers say they are willing to consider tax hikes in exchange for entitlement reforms and spending cuts in a deficit-reduction deal to avoid the fiscal cliff.

He is a God ow wrath and un-forgiveness. The primary tenants of the religion are greed, selfishness, inhumanity. To become a priest one must advocate vulture capitalism; government by the corporations, for the corporations; bigotry, sexism, closeted homosexuality, and one must be a credentialed Ph.D in hypocrisy. It helps to have a Masters in fear-mongering, racism, and religious intolerance.

ALL of this goes away on Jan.02 when Congress comes back and then the GOP can decide if they want to vote AGAINST a tax cut for the Middle Class (and neither "His Majesty The Garden Gnome" or any of his serfs in the Republican Party will have any ground left to stand on).

(on edit) the above post is brilliant. I lol'd.

media's fault. They give him a pulpit and try to shut people like us out. That is also why they are putting emphasis on President Obama to compromise with Boehner behind closed doors. President Obama should ignore their scare tactics and propaganda. He can raise the Debt limit also if the majority of the Democrats in Congress agree. The Republicans can't impeach any President without the Democrats approval if the Dems really want to play hardball. Just see the Clinton impeachment. The Dems cut that short in the Senate. President Obama can do what he wants if he got his whole Party behind him and the country. All Grover and the Repukes can do is cry Bloody murder in the end.

and this needs to stop.

He is dictating budgets, candidates, policy, spending, choices
that are affecting people's lives.

He was not elected to do this.

The media pays him far more heed than he is worth.

America should not be afraid of such an ideologue.

Grover, you do not have the authority to tell the Republicans what to do - you only seek to enrich yourself, and i suggest you fucking move to Somalia and stay there. Arrangements can be easily made to revoke your U.S. citizenship and declare you persona non grata.

Then you will have nothing.

And go deal with your wife.

That's just what this country needs is a 12 year old mentality. The Tea party is full of people who think they know how to run this country. The only thing they can run is the country into the ground. They come to local meeting's full of hate and make sure everyone hears " don't tread on me ". They make me sick with this simpleton frame of mind.
