Ivory Coast New Year stampede 'kill dozens'

At least 60 people have been crushed to death about 200 injured during New Year festivities in Ivory Coast's main city Abidjan, rescue officials say.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday near a stadium in the centre of the city where a fireworks display and a concert was held.

Many of the victims are said to have been children.

It is unclear what caused the stampede.
