Detroit Man Says He Can Reveal Where Jimmy Hoffa Is Buried
Tony Zerilli, alleged to be the underboss of Detroit's biggest crime family, is breaking his silence on one of the greatest unsolved crimes in American history
By Marc Santia | Sunday, Jan 13, 2013 | Updated 10:57 PM EST

A man who federal agents say is a main character in the infamous unsolved mystery about the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa is breaking his silence after decades of refusing to answer questions.

The reputed gangster says the union leader was buried in a field in suburban Detroit -- about 20 miles north of the restaurant where he was last seen.

Eighty-five years old and barely able to walk, Tony Zerilli never thought this day would come.

“I’m dead broke. I got no money,” Zerilli told NBC 4 New York. “My quality of life is zero.”

He needs cash, why didn't he just say so?

Seriously, I never got the fascination with this case.

I think his son is a union rep or something. What ever he was he didn't deserve to be murdered I am pretty sure most people would agree on that. And I really don't know much about why he was infamous either so I can't say that I thought bad things about him, I am mostly just indifferent.

First we learn who Deep Throat was. This guy is spilling the beans over Jimmy Hoffa (allegedly). What's next? DB Cooper shows up working as a greeter at a Florida Walmart?

move...the evidence.

Because if they didn't make any better provisions for their old age than the guy in the OP, they may be having to do more of the hands-on work themselves.

"Wait, wait, take the shovel. I have to sit".
"Sid, we haven't even gotten out of the car yet".

It has got to be HELL to be a broke senior gangster, and know the banks have all your money.

An old man with questionable past lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard.

His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Vinnie

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.
Love you,
Vinnie

We'll find out the witness has dementia that has him crossing up his burial sites.

A little joke for the older DUers.

Doesn't look like that now.

I'm a little shell-shocked by the past attempts, but, hey, why not. It would be interesting.
