All I know is from looking at the shake map -- but it was apparently felt as "severe" in Quito.

We live on a huge rock filled with water, gas and oil. We keep extracting these 3 items on a daily basis, constantly changing the surface below us. It's only a matter of time til something big is going to happen. Frequency is usually an indicator.
