Shadow Morton Dead: : Shangri-Las, 'Leader of the Pack' Producer Dead at 72

In those days it fascinated me how come you got one sole all white girl group in the same vein as the Crystals etc.

He never really got his due.

And remember when the Beatles(the 3 of them) released "free as a bird" from the old Lennon demo?

The added part of that song, was a note for note from 'leader of the pack" and Morton took it in stride, proud of it I guess.

Society's Child was a stunningly great song. The production is amazing. And Janis Ian was what? 14 or 15?

Happens if there's an "up there"they've got no dearth of talent. Janis Joplin,Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Holly, Lowell George and how many more.
