Judge to retire after sending racist Obama email
By MATT VOLZ, Associated Press | April 3, 2013 | Updated: April 3, 2013 2:38pm
HELENA, Mont. (AP) Montana's chief federal judge will retire following an investigation into an email he forwarded that included a racist joke involving President Barack Obama.
U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull had previously announced he would step down as chief circuit judge and take a reduced caseload, but he informed the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that he now intends to fully retire May 3.
The appellate court posted a statement by Chief Judge Alex Kozinski on its website Tuesday announcing Cebull had submitted the retirement letter.
The March 29 letter comes after the appellate court's Judicial Council issued a March 15 order on the investigation into the February 2012 email.

(804 posts)She was supposed to have resigned for forwarding a racist email to Scott Baugh (an evil man himself), but I can't find that she ever did resign her post. Last I read, she put a spin on it saying the Democrats were the real racists.
North Orange County. Bleh! I grew up there, and this kind of behavior is not a shock.

I live in Riverside County, but grew up in Orange County. I'd forgotten about this woman, it figures she got away with it. I remember that it was a pretty big story at the time.

(17 posts)I didn't know that the Bigot Belt extended all the way to Montana.
Of course I am referring to the South....the Bigot Belt which extends from Virginia through Texas and leaps to a few other states like Idaho and Kansas.
Racism and racial hatred is call Christianity in these parts.......And Republicanism is considered Christianity.
The southern churches provide huge sums of money to get their agendas through.....the tax free political hate machines.
