Tony Blair's rep denies rumors of (Blair) affair with Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi Deng
Source: New York Daily News
After a flurry of media speculation, the spokesman for Tony Blair has denied allegations that the former British prime minister has had a marriage-ending affair with Rupert Murdochs third wife, Wendi Deng.
Blairs rep shot down the frenzied rumors, telling the Hollywood Reporter: If you are asking if they are having an affair, the answer is no.
The spokesman later clarified to outlet that the two never had an affair, and added that Blair would not be making a public statement on the matter.
The inquest was likely made after Gawker's cheeky post, entitled "People are Googling 'Wendi Deng Tony Blair.'" As the author noted: "Presumably, they're just trying to look up a column Murdoch biographer Michael Wolff wrote last year in the Guardian, headlined "Tony Blair and the Murdochs: A Family Affair."

Australian actors Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman were named as godparents to the two children but there was no mention of the former Labour leader, whose presence at the ceremony has only now been revealed by Ms Deng in a rare interview.
In the Vogue article, Mr Blair is described as "one of Murdoch's closest friends".
