Tunisian opposition member Mohamed Brahmi was shot dead in the capital Tunis on Thursday, six months after the murder of another secular leader sparked a national crisis. Thousands of secularists have poured on to the streets in protest.

Several Islamist party offices and government buildings have been set on fire.

Police in Tunisia’s second-largest city of Sfax have fired teargas to disperse hundreds of protesters who stormed a local government office while demonstrators threw stones at them. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Brahmi was the leader of the nationalist and secular People's Movement party, which has two seats in the National Constituent Assembly, the temporary parliamentary body charged with drafting a new constitution for the country. Twitter reports, citing eyewitnesses, say two men on a motorcycle shot the politician as he stood by his car, before speeding away. Brahmi's family witnessed the assassination.

suppose to be the native country of Sandwind? Maybe he can fill us in to more details about what is going on in Tunisia? Does this have any connections to do with the Brother Muslimhood and what was going on in Syria?

I understand from the Syrian media, Tunisians were fighting in Syria and many were jailed after captured by the Syrian Army. Their mothers and parents petitioned the Syrian Government also, that Islamists and Foreign Goverments brain washed their sons to fight in Syria.

When the Egyptian military sent communications to the Syrian Government, there was also something in the message about getting rid of the Islamist Government in Tunisia. Didn't one of their military leaders just resign to run for political office in Tunisia?
