House Ethics Committee Investigating Rep. Michele Bachmann

Source: CBS News

The House Ethics Committee is launching a full-tilt investigation of Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota.

The committee announced on Friday it had received a referral from the Office of Congressional Ethics, an independent investigative body, and said in a brief statement that it would formally investigate the one-time Republican presidential candidate.

A lawyer for Bachmann had previously acknowledged the investigation by the OCE and said that Bachmann was cooperating. That probe is focused in part on her short-lived presidential bid.

As Bachmann deals with the Congressional ethics inquiry, she’s also facing an FBI probe and a Federal Elections Commission investigation into her failed campaign

but I suppose there will be no real consequences for the representative from Minnesota.
Congress-people, especially republican ones, are never held accountable. They write the laws but don't have to follow them.
I guess, from their perspective, we truly are and exceptional land.

I take some solace knowing investigations hit these creeps where it hurts most.

farm subsidy monies. The only "hurt" will be to taxpayers. One thing that may well resonate, but certainly won't be acknowledged is that her constituents MAY see the light as regards their sending a Dolt to DC to "represent" them. And that word breaks in two to become Rep resent.

Isn't she the one who called for full-blown investigations of other members of Congress?

As my dad would have said, she's nuttier than squirrel turds.

at this point, she's become irrelevant anyway.
She has plans to retire to K Street, and probably
doesn't even give a a shit about investigations.

Exile from Washington D.C. and politics would be
the only punishment that would cause her any grief.

She's just another turd in the pasture of life .....
