Israel closes Eilat airport over security concerns
Source: AP
JERUSALEM (AP) Israel's military says it has ordered the closure of the airport in the Red Sea resort of Eilat.
An official in the military spokesman's office said Thursday that the military has instructed the airport to cancel all landings and departures until further notice. She says the decision was made as a result of a security assessment, but did not elaborate. She spoke on condition of anonymity in line with briefing regulations.
Eilat is a major tourist destination.

(9,688 posts)In this case we know she's an official in the military spokesman's office. So it's accepted without question, or thought, that even "official military spokesmen" should be "anonymous". We know the military spokesman's office (anonymously!) says the decision is result of a security assessment, but the (anonymous!) office doesn't think that such a no-brainer generality need be explained to us in any way - I suppose because the (anonymous!) spokesman's office doesn't think those who're trained to imbibe such swill would ever care enough to have a question. Or gawd forbid, a doubt. An appraisal that's proven true a bazzilion times a day by bullshit "official anonymous leaks" from gov'ts all over the "free world" selling their hocus pocus narratives.
