Dennis Rodman has social outings with North Korea boss

Source: USA Today

BEIJING – Dinner with Kim Jong Un and his wife; time spent watching a basketball game together; and an exchange of gifts. Once again, former NBA star Dennis Rodman has achieved his unusual goal of hanging out with "friend" Kim Jong Un, the young dictator of North Korea.

But there is no word yet if Rodman raised the sensitive issue of the jailed American Kenneth Bae, sentenced in May to 15 years' hard labor for crimes against the state. Rodman's trip, set to end this weekend, is sponsored by the Irish bookmaker Paddy Power, and is not endorsed by the U.S. government.

I think Dennis ought to watch his back lest he inadvertently upset the North Koreans and end up as Kenneth Bae's celly.

Including his old girlfriend? Talk about a break up!

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/sex-tape-kim-jong-uns-ex-girlfriend-2255822

This innocent-looking performance could be the "sex tape" used to justify the execution of North Korean singer Hyon Song-Wol - the former lover of despot Kim Jong-un.

According to reports, Hyon Song-wol was killed by firing squad in front of her family last month after allegedly violating North Korea's law against pornography.

South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo said the singer was one of 12 well-known performers executed after being accused of filming themselves having sex and selling the material.

But internet rumours have now begun circulating in China that this inoffensive video could have been the footage used to justify her killing.

In the tape uploaded to Chinese video-sharing website YouKu, three Korean women in black and red leotards can be seen performing a dance routine to Elvis Presley's "Aloha Oe".

A jarring report out of North Korea claims that Kim Jong Un's former girlfriend was executed by a firing squad last week.

Chosun Ilbo,an English language newspaper in South Korea, said unnamed sources in China told it that Hyon Song Wol (of "Excellent Horse-Like Lady" fame) was arrested on Aug. 17 along with about a dozen others; Hyon was a singer, and a number of the others were members of the Unhasu Orchestra.

They were accused of making a sex tape and selling it and were shot three days later for violating the country's pornography laws. A source said some allegedly had Bibles in their possession, and all were treated as political dissidents.

The report has not been independently verified by other media outlets. Chosun Ilbo is one of Seoul's main daily newspapers.

South Korean media reported last week that Hyon had been killed by machine gun fire amid claims that she had been appearing in pornographic videos. Twelve singers, musicians and dancers from two pop groups are said to have been executed on August 20.

...Because Kim’s wife, Ri Sol-ju, was once a member of the same group as the executed singer, North Korea analysts suggested that she might have given her consent to the execution.

A North Korean firing squad last week executed a former girlfriend of leader Kim Jong Un and 11 other entertainers for allegedly violating laws banning pornography, a South Korean newspaper reported Thursday.

The report by Chosun Ilbo, an English-language newspaper of a Seoul media conglomerate, deemed the reported Aug. 20 executions a death blow to expectations that Kim would oversee a transition of his isolated and tyrannized people into a more open era.

Among the dozen performers shot to death while their families and former band members were forced to watch was Hyon Song Wol, a singer Kim reportedly courted a decade ago but was forced to abandon by his dictatorial father, Kim Jong Il.

Hyon was pictured by North Korean state television performing at a concert Aug. 8 in Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, less than two weeks before her execution, Chosun Ilbo reported, posting a picture of the singer juxtaposed against one of Kim applauding at the concert.

The 12 members of the Unhasu Orchestra and the Wangjaesan Light Music Band were accused of violating anti-pornography laws by videotaping themselves having sex and selling copies of the tape to North Korean fans and in China.

Kim Jong-un's ex-girlfriend was among a dozen well-known North Korean performers who were executed by firing squad on Aug. 20, reports said Wednesday.

Sources in China said singer Hyon Song-wol as well as Mun Kyong-jin, head of the Unhasu Orchestra, were arrested on Aug. 17 for violating North Korean laws against pornography and were executed in public three days later.

The victims of the atrocity were members of the Unhasu Orchestra as well as singers, musicians and dancers with the Wangjaesan Light Music Band.

They were accused of videotaping themselves having sex and selling the videos. The tapes have apparently gone on sale in China as well.

A source said some allegedly had Bibles in their possession, and all were treated as political dissidents.
