@AP: BREAKING: AP sources: Boehner to ask House GOP for short-term debt ceiling increases

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBRE9990JH20131010

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Republicans are still weighing a short-term debt-limit increase, possibly for six weeks, with no decisions going into a closed-door party meeting on Thursday, according to a senior Republican aide.

"It's one of the options being considered," the aide said, without outlining the other options. The aide also did not say whether any temporary increase in U.S. borrowing authority would contain policy changes, such as spending cuts or changes to President Barack Obama's 2010 health care reform law.

The dynamics will be the same as they are now, no solutions for the Repbulicans other than to pass a clean spending bill, with the exception being six weeks from now will be even closer to the 2014 elections.

If they play these same stupid games then, they will be politically hammered even harder than they are now.

There'd be even more pressure on the Republicans to pass the debt limit increase; lots of pissed off shoppers uncertain of their future and merchants everywhere blaming them for killing the prime shopping season will make them cave for certain.

Even the religious nutjobs would think twice about throwing more people out of work and denying them benefits during the runup to celebrating the birth of their personal lord and savior.

The Senate passed a CR that expires on Nov. 15th. All the repubs in the House have to do is Pass it. Obama would not veto this as it would be considered a reneg of his support for the Senate Dems.

The government and returning furloughed workers to work would be a win for republicans. They get to keep the Obama administration from doing any good for the country without causing global mayhem. Democrats should insist on budget deal and a long term increase in debt limit. Otherwise reps will keep gov shutdown going forever.
