Cruz: Blame Senate GOP for ACA defeat

Source: The Hill

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is blaming his fellow Senate Republicans for opposing a movement in the House to defund ObamaCare, which ultimately caused Republicans to win few concessions in the deal to reopen the government and raise the nation’s debt ceiling.

In an interview with the National Review posted on Saturday afternoon, the senator said that there would be “consequences” for supporting the funding bill.

“Unfortunately, rather than supporting House Republicans, a significant number of Senate Republicans actively, aggressively, and vocally led the effort to defeat House Republicans, to defeat the effort to defund Obamacare,” he told the conservative magazine. “Once Senate Republicans did that, it crippled the chances of this effort, and it caused the lousy deal.”

“From day one in office,” Cruz said, “I’ve urged the American people to hold every elected official accountable, and far too many elected officials are not listening to the American people.”

we know you will not accept any responsibility. Americans long ago learned that Republicons always go AWOL on honor, integrity, and responsibility.

So kindly sit down and STFU.

These creatures are found out too late when they gain real power or they just burn out. My hope is for a burn out he has created enough enemies in his own party. This is another characteristic of demagogues they have only followers surround themselves with the deluded and are very lonely without real friends when they finally crash. Cruz's crash should be spectacular but God help us if he ever gains real power.

the Republican party. The GOP wall street banksters and their ilk hate this
guy but how are they to control him?

I don't think it's wise to forget that this guy's base hated Romney, and the candidates
they like the Republican establishment is afraid of too.

Amazing how a political party has come to represent only the 1% and all
the lunatics..religious crazies, gun crazies.... with nothing much in between.

the other senate repubs will paint a political bullseye on his forehead. I image he has already done enough to be targeted in the primaries in another 5 years. Is he the choice to succeed Kay Bailey Hutchenson? Never thought much of her, but Texas seems to have found a way to elect someone worse.
