Man dies after fight at Arrowhead Stadium parking lot

A man was fatally injured in a fight after he was caught in someone else’s vehicle outside Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs-Broncos game Sunday.

Police had three persons of interest in custody and were talking to several witnesses. They were investigating the death in parking lot A of the Truman Sports Complex as a homicide.

Police spokesman Darin Snapp said the fight started after a man in his 20s got into the vehicle and was caught by the owner. The altercation ended with the stranger unconscious on the pavement.

Officers were called about 5:20 p.m. after the Fire Department had taken the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Yikes. One year to the day when Chiefs player Jovan Belcher committed suicide at Arrowhead, the Chiefs stadium is a crime scene once again.

Police Investigating Death At Arrowhead Stadium After Chiefs-Broncos Game

Snapp said the man had his son with him when he returned to his vehicle and that the boy — whose age was not immediately known — had run for help when the struggle began.

Snapp said there were no obvious indications of how the man died.

"We don't know if the person had a health condition, had a heart attack. We don't know," Snapp said. "We're going to investigate this as a homicide until we hear differently. Right now it's a suspicious death but we are going to investigate it as a homicide."

accidental. You catch someone in your car. You get angry. You drag him out. Fight breaks out. He hits his head on the pavement. Your life is ruined. All because someone wanted to take your shit.

Got into a fight at a skate park. Thumped the other guy on the head and he went down. Fight over he got up they both left. Few hours later he went to the ER where he died. 3 years in prison.
