(25,938 posts)although I'm not inclined to classify Rupert Murdoch as 'a fellow New Yorker' to anyone. Save your ammunition; you'll need it for that final flailing flagellation next year.

(40,416 posts)I don't give a fuck who Big Dawg will support in 2016 since it's two years before anybody knows for sure who's running.
I want to see Big Dawg active in the 2014 election, traveling the country from coast to coast campaigning in as many districts as he has energy.
Then, when Democrats have secured a majority in both sides of the US Capital, and state legislatures, and governorships, then we can start thinking about the candidates who will be running for president. Certainly, the latter will not be determined until the midterms have completed. That's just the political reality of the deal. It's why nobody announces until the winter before the election, at the earliest.
Some DUers would have us in a continuous presidential campaign. Disgusting! And divorced from reality.

(11,519 posts)Yes, we need to take as many seats as possible in 2014 first, and THEN start worrying about 2016.
As for the presidential election, I'm fairly certain there will be certain issues over which I disagree with the Democratic nominee (as there are certain issues over which I disagree with the President). However, I have no doubt whatsoever that the Democratic nominee will be a hell of a lot closer to my views than whomever the GOPers throw out there.
