Pastor John Hagee to Atheists: Gladly Accept My Christmas Tidings or ‘Leave The Country’

Source: The Raw Story Thursday, December 26, 2013 13:43ET

Texas megachurch Pastor John Hagee this week advised atheists who didn’t like Christmas to “leave the country” or “take your Walkman and stuff it into your ears.” In a sermon at his Cornerstone Church, Hagee warned that “Christmas is under attack in America” because government offices were greeting people with “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas.”

“To all humanists and atheists listening to this telecast: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will not be in danger in any way if someone says ‘Merry Christmas’ around you.”agee noted that some would argue that “Merry Christmas” was really a Christian prayer.

“Well, yes it is,” he said. “And this is the United States of America that was founded by Christians on Christian principles according to the word of God.” Hagee also had some advice for those atheists who found themselves in proximity of a Nativity scene.

“If you pass a manger scene and someone is singing ‘Joy to the World,’ you can take your Walkman and stuff it into your ears,” the megachurch pastor recommended. “Or you can call your lawyer. Or you can just exercise your right to leave the country.” “Planes are leaving every hour on the hour. Get on one!” Hagee exclaimed. “It’s time for the majority to rule this nation!”

As its obvious as some of them are not trying to be nice and welcoming in order to encourage more people to join. Instead they're just trying to hang on to what they've got - or at least the continually pissed off segment of their members.

ROME — Pope Francis used the first Christmas address of his papacy on Wednesday to make a broad call for global peace and an end to violence in Syria and parts of Africa, urging atheists and followers of other religions to join together in this common cause.

According to Pope Francis, it doesn’t matter whether you are a heterosexual or a homosexual, a pro-lifer or pro-choicer, conservative or liberal or even a communist, because they all worship the same divine God and he loves them all. he 77-year-old Pope continued to say that “God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God http://allchristiannews.com/pope-francis-all-religions-are-true/

A shining example of today's Christian. Do they hear what I hear? A jerk and a bully. But not so much the teachings of Jesus.

This pastor is a bigot. And it is christian 'leaders' such as this that have turned so many people off, not just to Christianity, but to seeking their own Spirituality.

This guy is like a Nazi for Christ.

John Hagee, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church in Texas, earned about $300,000 from his church in 2000, and he was reported to be the highest-paid nonprofit executive in San Antonio in 2004, making nearly $1 million.

Does anybody here know whether it is that religion makes people insane, or is it that mentally challenged people just seem to gravitate toward idiotic, insular beliefs...? I can't seem to figure out which it is.

1983 called, it wants my Walkman and your Evangelist Coiff back.

Anyway, there is a third option here, so let's just make sure we're all on the same page.

I can...

A) Stuff my Walkman in my ears
B) Leave the country
C) Tell you to "jam it", go "neener neener neener" up in your face, then give you a wet willy.
