Jahi McMath's lawyer says he has received death threats
Source: L.A.Times
The attorney for the family of Jahi McMath, a brain-dead 13-year-old girl, says he has received death threats and harsh criticism over his work on the case.
Christopher Dolan told the San Jose Mercury News that people have accused him of exploiting McMath and her family by fighting medical experts who say she is legally dead.
"If it was my daughter, I'd do everything I'm doing for this family," he told the paper.

(793 posts)It seems he wants to litigate the case on the steps of the Hospital. That is a bad sign for the family, and what they want.

(24,338 posts)There are some weird people out there.
People send threats to pro athletes and/or coaches when a player doesn't get enough points and their fantasy sports team loses.
There are people who use anonymity as a license to threaten and harass.
And when they're caught they say, "I was only joking."

It's enough to have your name associated with a contentious issue of any kind. There are psychos who get worked into a lather by the news, and take it out on anyone they can.

(11,014 posts)Opponents of Jahi's family's decision have nothing but compassion and sympathy for their plight and said opponents have generally endorsed grief counseling.
This lawyer is evil and is clearly lying about death threats. Death threats occur when someone's actions injure someone economically or ideologically -- neither of which has happened. There is a pro-life ideology out there but there really isn't a pro-death group that would want to harm this jerk.
He is playing Machiavelli and manipulating the media.
