GWB probe: N.J. legislators given documents in response to some subpoenas

Source: The Record via NorthJersey.com

The four who answered the subpoenas are all former or current Port Authority employees, according to a knowledgeable source: Bill Baroni, former deputy executive director; Philippe Danielides, an adviser to the chairman of the board of commissioners; Cristina Lado, director of government and community relations; and Pual Nunziato, president of the Port Authority police union.

On Monday, the due date for the subpoenas, officials said that "numerous" extensions had been requested and granted, and two central figures declined to provide documents, citing the Fifth Amendment. Those two are Bill Stepien, Christie's former re-election campaign manager, and Bridget Anne Kelly, a former deputy chief of staff. Christie fired Kelly, who sent a message that stated: "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee." He also cut ties with Stepien, formerly a close Christie adviser.

-snip-

The 13 who have not turned over all documents or have asked for extensions are:

Maria Comella, Christie's deputy chief of staff for communications
Michael Drewniak, press secretary
Nicole Davidman Drewniak, Christie campaign fundraiser
Regina Egea, chief of staff
Christina Genovese, former director of departmental relations
Charles McKenna, former chief counsel
Evan Ridley, aide
Colin Reed, deputy communications director
Kevin O'Dowd, former chief of staff
David Samson, Port Authority Chairman
Matt Mowers, New Hampshire GOP executive director and former regional political director
2013 Christie campaign organization
Office of the Governor

I've snipped out paragraphs about David Wildstein having turned over some documents, but taking the Fifth when called to testify, and about Governor Christie saying his office "has started to produce" the requested documents.

I found this article via a Twitter comment noting that it's only Port Authority employees answering the subpoenas, with Christie staffers and Christie pal David Samson, the Port Authority chairman, not complying so far.

Nothing was done about it. Laws are only for the "little folks" and especially not for Republicans.
