Romney claims victory in caucuses in Guam
Source: AFP
"The people of Guam have always stood bravely for America and the values we hold dear," Romney said in a statement. "I am honored to have won the Guam caucuses, an important milestone in my quest to restore America to the principles and practices that made us great."
All 251 delegates from the island's 19 villages backed Romney, who sent his son Matt to Guam and the nearby Northern Marianas Islands to campaign on his behalf.

Um, with all due respect to the US Citizens in Guam, when you have to actually CAMPAIGN there, you must be getting pretty worried about your delegate count...

(7,042 posts)As someone who is a US citizen in a marginalized district, I applaud his efforts even if I disagree completely with his politics.
Of course, US citizens in Guam already pay no federal taxes (unlike DC). They are already aligned with Romney's agenda.

BTW- YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH came from the Air Force bases in Guam. Aaron Sorkin's sister was stationed there when there was a gang rape. Sorkin heard of the case and the JAG (attorney) officer's defense - blame the commander for an out of control base - and wrote a play. The JAG officer? it was David Ygleisas - later fired by the Bush administration for not being loyal enough and filing a charge against ACORN in New Mexico.
