Mass. nuclear plant activists plan weekend march

Source: Boston Globe

A watchdog group that monitors the Pilgrim nuclear power plant in Plymouth is holding a march this weekend to mark the Fukushima disaster in Japan.

The Fukushima plant was heavily damaged in a tsunami and earthquake a year ago, and Pilgrim has a similar design.

The march led by the Pilgrim Coalition will start Sunday near the Pilgrim plant and end at Plymouth Rock. Marchers will then hold a vigil at a local church.

The coalition says it wants plant owner Entergy to correct safety and environmental problems at the plant before it's re-licensed for another 20 years. Pilgrim's license expires in June.
