vw liked those incentives that tennessee gave them.now they are starting to realize that maybe it was`t a very good bargain.

like i said before vw should have noticed tennessee is a right to work state. the union would`t be worth a shit if 50% refuses to pay dues.

That appears to be the Republican MO. It is what is getting the Christie Administration into some heat and also the Governor of Alaska is in a similar prediciament. He told a southeast community of Ketchikan that as long as they continuied the lawsuit against the state any monies requested would be heavily scrutinized.. Thinly veiled threat just as this one from Tennessee.

giving workers the ability to collectively bargain for wages and benefits is somehow so, well, "un-American".

Unions are the ONLY things that give employees any leverage with employers. Unions are what gave us the 8-hour workday, the 5 day workweek, overtime, vacation time, sick pay, pensions, safer working conditions, etc.

I'll bet Gerald McCormick has not worked anything over 40 hours a week in his entire life. We know that R legislators mostly like to go on vacation.

The GOP wheeler-dealers like to give away the taxpayer's store to attract a business, but will do all they can to obstruct a unionized workforce which is what builds a middle class.

Something is wrong with that deal.
