Conservative group files civil rights lawsuit against Wisconsin investigators

Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - A conservative organization in Wisconsin filed a federal lawsuit against state investigators on Monday, saying its members' civil rights were violated during an ongoing secret probe into campaign financing, court documents showed.

The Wisconsin Club for Growth filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, accusing investigators of violating its members' freedom of speech, association and equal protection rights.

The organization is asking the court to halt the ongoing 17-month probe into what the Wall Street Journal has described as allegations of illegal coordination between special interest groups and political campaigns.

Wonder if the Federal Judge is in their pocket? Wouldn't that be delicious, if the Federal Judge threw it out and Scott Walker gets indicted for campaign corruption charges?

down an investigation with their army of attorneys or are going for a scotus ruling on something. No doubt the Club for Growth will have top attorneys on this. I wonder if Walker or one of his cronies will put some kid fresh out of law school on it. Maybe they will cut funding to the department or something else to hurt the investigation. Let's not kid ourselves, money buys acquittals.

3 judges appointed by Republican Pres. and 2 by Democratic. One seat is empty. I don't think they even have a case. But....

...the Kochs are cooking up a case to navigate through the courts, ultimately ending up at the Supreme Court, to "fix" the problem by making such conduct legal.

Basically, anything they can be nailed on, they find a way to make "legal" through their 5 puppets on the SC.
