Just like the addicts that want to maintain the drug war. Trying to make up for past mistakes or choices, I guess.

Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be better to use NSA resources to track the people making and trading child porn rather than filtering it out.

The filters aren't really to protect kiddies, that's just the excuse. They'll filter out porn and "esoteric content" and yes, the government DOES decide what counts as "esoteric". Such as minority faiths or far-left political views.

If anyone potentially has 'an excuse' to have such images on their computer it would be someone working on the project of national-level 'porn filters'.

The fact that the guy is apparently immediately biting the bullet, resigning his job, and not trying to blow smoke up everyone's ass with some BS about how it's 'all part of his job' ... there's something to be said for that.

Hopefully he finishes the job by pleading guilty and not costing the taxpayers a fortune in court costs.

Hopefully one of 2 things are going to happen between now and next June, either a vote of no-confidence is held and/or he gets voted out of office by the electorate next May.

If Lord Lucifer answers my prayers, Cameron's demise will be drawn-out, excruciatingly painful but, above all, soon.

I'm on benefits for mental illness and physical disability and the news was so often about how Cameron was trying to make our lives even harder, which tended to set off a self-harming cycle.
