Israel says seized Gaza-bound rocket shipment from Iran

Source: Reuters

The Israeli navy seized a ship in the Red Sea on Wednesday that was carrying dozens of advanced Iranian-supplied rockets made in Syria and intended for Palestinian guerrillas in the Gaza Strip, the military said.

The disclosure came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in the United States to press his case for tougher international action against Iran over its disputed nuclear program and support for Islamist guerrilla groups.

The Panamanian-flagged cargo vessel Klos C was boarded in international waters without resistance from its 17-strong crew in a "complex, covert operation", military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Lerner told reporters.

Lerner said dozens of M302 rockets were found aboard the Klos C, a weapon which could have struck deep into Israel from Gaza and would have significantly enhanced the firepower of the Palestinian enclave's Hamas rulers and other armed factions.

This, more recently:

http://www.globalresearch.ca/ex-mossad-agent-israel-uses-false-flag-in-most-operations-to-avoid-suspicion-in-arab-states/17853

In the end, the very nature of any covert intelligence operation means it is going to be almost impossible to prove, so I will concede your point strictly for the sake of courtesy. But if you don't think the Mossad isn't executing false flags, you are naive or being willfully obtuse.

unless they were committing acts with the express intention of the blame falling on some other country. That is what a true false flag op is - some other country or group gets blamed for what Israel did.

So you have one valid 60 year old example of a real false flag.

And btw - we know this op was not a false flag unless you believe the US was in on it.

The United States said Wednesday its intelligence services and military worked with Israel to track a ship carrying an intercepted shipment of advanced Iranian rockets for Palestinian militants.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said Washington started to work with Israel through intelligence and military channels and at the national security advisor level as soon as it knew the shipment was on the move.

President Barack Obama also directed the US military to work out contingencies in case it became necessary to intercept the vessel, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One.

"Throughout this time our intelligence and military activities were closely coordinated with our Israeli counterparts who ultimately chose to take the lead in interdicting this shipment of illicit arms," Carney said.

Gaza Ministry of Interior spokesman Islam Shahwan said in a statement that Israeli claims were a "dangerous move" to justify Israel's seven-year long blockade.

Shahwan urged journalists to avoid "being tricked by the Israeli narrative about capturing a ship carrying weapons to Gaza," adding that "the sea is completely besieged and closed by the Israeli navy, and any ship which sails will be obstructed."

Israel, which has long accused Iran and Syria of providing military aid to Lebanon's Hezbollah and Palestinian militant groups, said the ship was carrying "advanced weaponry," including rockets "capable of striking anywhere in Israel."

The military said the Syrian-made weapons aboard the "Klos-C" were shipped overland to Iran and then onward towards Gaza by sea before being intercepted between Sudan and Eritrea.

and

BINYAMIN NETANYAHU, the Israeli prime minister, is planning to offer President Barack Obama a ground- breaking deal in which Israel would agree to an accord with the Palestinians in return for a tougher US stance on Iran’s nuclear programme.

The proposed “Palestine for Iran” deal is due to be tabled by Netanyahu during meetings at the White House tomorrow.

Obama is keen to persuade the Israelis to accept a draft accord crafted by John Kerry, the US secretary of state, which would establish an independent Palestinian state later this year.

what I've seen is people condemn Israel bombing and killing maiming thousands of people caged in a 139 square mile strip of land known as Gaza and as for Iran what I've seen is people who believe that Iran and its leaders are not suicidal also known as the M(utually) A(ssured) D(estruction) doctrine, most of those disagreeing seem to come from the IMO rather Islamophobic belief that Muslims just want to go to paradise to collect their 72 virgins or something

The nuclear energy industry has been running a massive PR campaign to convince people that black is white and up is down.

Four of the major problems with nuclear energy are cost, safety, waste, and proliferation.

There has been bizarre denial by nuclear evangelists on all four of those, especially proliferation.

And when the subject of Iran's nuclear program comes up, they go into overdrive.
