NB: Chattisgarh is a state in the middle of India. CRPF is a sort of police force managed by the Indian Interior Department. There's been a low-grade insurgency by Maoists for a while but this is definitely an escalation.

It will be interesting to see, if the Andhra Pradesh partition goes through, what effect that will have on the insurgency.
